What was the highlight of Hostal Cattleya Medellin

Great stay!

Great clean and quiet hostel if you wanna get out of the partyzone. It's just a minute away from Calle 70 so if you want to party you dont have to go far. The dorm room is very spacious, looks all new and clean and it has enough shelves and closet space to put your stuff away. The showers are great with always hot water. The kitchens are super too! I booked initially for 2 nights but ended up staying for roughly 2 weeks. It's a great place to get your rest and hangout for a while. Not to forget about the lovely staff that welcomes you back like a family member every time!

The Wi-Fi connection could be a bit better in the room but it's nothing major to complain about.

A great choice in Estadio/Laureles.

This is a great hostel just off of the famous 70 street in Medellin. The family are friendly, welcoming hosts that make you feel like a valued customer and do all they can to help. The kitchen is great and so are the bathrooms.

The common areas could be made more comfortable and a big table for sharing meals would be nice.

Great accommodation in a good neighborhood

Comfortable accommodation, which is clean and situated in a safe area. Metro in walking distance. La candaleria also in walking distance, approx. 30min.

Perfect place to rest and recharge

Everything. Great management, plenty of hammocks, great kitchen, great rooms, modern, clean, laundry service, 24 hour reception, Netflix, towel, great location (30 seconds to the setenta). All in all great value and one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. I stayed for almost four weeks.

Fantastic staff, very clean and modern hostel

I really liked the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff and also great coffee in the morning. I stayed in a private room - it was very comfortable. It also feels very safe in the hostel and I liked the way everyone mingled at the hostel.

Perfect

The staff was amazing and incredibly helpful, the double room really comfy and clean. It is only a short walk to the metro as well as to a huge supermarket. There are 2 kitchens in this hostel which are really well stocked with lots of spices and essentials for everyone to use. There are also many bars and restaurants around if you don’t feel like cooking. The two common rooms are also lovely with Netflix and even an Xbox!

Fantastic hostal, offering a quiet and chill atmosphere !

By far the most friendly staff I have met during my trip in Colombia. They remember everyone's name and make sure you are having a pleasant stay, not only in the hostal, but also in the city. Great advice given on things to do and see. They made a small mistake one night with my reservation, but they apologized sincerely and they even offered me to stay for free in a better room that night. That was very professional ! The whole hostal is spotlessly clean ! All the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned everyday. The main kitchen (there are 2) is very functional. Free coffee all day. Every guest has its own plastic box with his name on it to store his food. Nice common areas: a small terrasse with a table and a hammock ; comfortable sofas ; a TV with Netflix and PS4 if I remember well ; a guitar... Quiet and chill atmosphere ! Location in Laureles, near la 70, and 5 minutes away from the metro station Estadio is perfect to go visit the city. I felt that the area was more authentic than El Poblado, and felt safe. To sum up, I was very happy to stay there, and would go back without a doubt.

WiFi was a bit sketchy in the rooms sometimes, but worked perfectly well in the common areas.

The location is absolutely perfect!

The location is absolutely perfect! Quiet neighborhood right off a busy, thriving area. Next to the stadium, so a game is a must. For the cheap price, what you get is good. The kitchen is the most well stocked I’ve seen and the beds are comfortable.

However, zero atmosphere. The place is very stark. No paintings, photos, or plants. Common areas are always empty. Most of the staff is friendly enough. Two or three were fantastic, but there isn’t much mingling with the guests. The Wi-Fi is TERRIBLE in the rooms.

Great staff and comfortable stay

The staff and management are fantastic and go out of their way to accomodate guests. The neighbourhood is peaceful and tranquil. I liked that there were not many tourists around as it is a local neighborhood but a short walk away you have all the amenities of a busy street.
